Art Explosion (literally)

Greetings, everybody

Some days ago, during a long and hot afternoon without electricity, we were surprised at the unusual silence in the house. Our daughter, Manuela Valentina, who is always doing something noisy around the house, was nowhere to be found (she makes sure her phone's battery will have some charge to keep the music loud during the blackouts). We went to her room and were shocked at what we saw. If you have followed my blog, you should know this daughter of mine has been crazy about drawing and singing. She has been producing all kinds of art, but thus far she has restrained her projects to notebook-size canvas.

In a country where paint is so expensive most houses have not been painted in years (here the bolivarian socialism was very effective at equalizing us so that noone will feel embarrased because the neighbor's house looks better), to "ruin" a wall out of sheer need of expression is close to a federal crime.

We, however, were ecstatic!

This picture was actually taken after the "disaster". She looked like a madwoman who had fallen on a giant painter's palette. We were so shocked at what her grandmother would say about the wall that we did not know whether we should hug her and take pictures or rush her to the closest embassy.

When asked about the meaning of her work, she simply said: This is me!
She used a small brush, her hands and her face to apply the paint.

So, we asked our dear friend @eleidap (Thank you so much!) to help us edit this video. Hope you like it. We loved the result!
