The power within!

Do you believe that all of us possess a power that can conquer the impossible?

I’m not referring to powers that can be seen in the anime movies such as ‘Dragon ball Z‘ or ‘Naruto‘, but I’m referring to the REAL power that an individual possesses because of the God-given minds that we have.

We all know already what distinguishes us humans among the animals in this world is our high intelligence.

We are rational beings; a perfect being who has consciousness and the will to do anything we want to do.

But why do you think there are many sufferings in this world?

We human beings are not just giving sufferings to our selves and to other people but also, we’re giving sufferings to the whole of planet earth.

With our intelligent minds, we failed to control how powerful we are.

As the years pass by, look at the past how beautiful our surrounding was; but now?

We destroyed parts of the God-given environment just to attain our so called ‘Progress‘ and ‘Development‘ but the very obvious negative results can be seen by our naked eye!

What’s happening with humanity? It’s difficult to answer.

But the root cause is…..

The failure of realizing within our minds that we have that great power, the great power to create and destroy!

Our mind is our greatest gift and our greatest weapon but just like any other weapons, it becomes good if it is used in good ways.

If the user use a weapon to cause bad actions and cause damage irresponsibly, then we can say that the problem lies with the user of the weapon, not the weapon itself.

We cannot label a weapon itself as ‘good‘ or ‘bad‘ but we can do it to the holder or user of that weapon.

The same analogy applies to our mind.

We have to make use of our mind for good cause; that is to help heal our dying world.

But with human nature, if we keep on following our egoistic behavior and carnal desires, we will keep on exploiting others.

So, we have to UNLOCK it!

Unlock the full potential of our mind, unlock it from its automatic production of negative thoughts that could result us to do bad actions; and tame it to think positively instead.

We have to unlock and learn how to control our mind and use it for good cause!

How?

Direct answer is through the practice of ‘MEDITATION‘.

Other people have different names for this activity, some call it as ‘silence within‘, ‘quiet-time‘ (for Born-again Christians), ‘Dhikr‘ (remembrance; for Muslims) and ‘Pranayama‘ (for Vedic religions).

Generally, these are called ‘Meditation‘.

So, what is meditation?

If you are to search online, you will find many articles as to what meditation is.

You can also find many guides online on how to do meditation and many of those references are reliable indeed as to what it is all about.

Personally, base on experience meditation happens when a person learns to be consciously at ease at a certain moment, either during a prayer, contemplation or just by narrowing (limiting) the running processes of the mind any time of the day.

The reason why you see meditators sit quietly in lotus posture (there are many postures tho) is because with this posture, they can instruct their mind and whole body to focus with mindfulness (being in the present moment, realizing everything even small things, without pressure, without judgement).

Then peace naturally follows.

When the mind is at ease, the systems of the body becomes at ease.

Your blood flow will be normalized, your mind activities will be simplified and your brain signals your entire body to process natural healing.

This is also the reason why you can read many reports on the natural healing of meditation to even chronic conditions and diseases.

If you are to realize within yourself and look at your problems that make you suffer, you will realize that these problems are just inside within your mind.

Either to worry about it or not brings you no benefits.

That’s why I say, “Good thing, bad thing. Who knows?“.

What you are facing now could be just right for you! Who knows?

It is your untamed mind that makes you suffer.

Instead of thinking for ways to solve your problem, your mind worries, make you lag, decrease your enthusiasm and cause you to have poor performance in all given aspects of your own self.

It is your untamed mind that processes negative thoughts that causes you to feel sick of life, when in fact there is so much more in life to enjoy and discover.

If you don’t know how to control the processes of your mind, you can’t control your emotions….

because naturally our mind reacts to external sources and events (either good or bad) and if we won’t have the full control of our mind as to how it should react, then obviously it will go unto rampage every time it meets unpleasant situations; and it is very damaging!

Mostly, our emotions are the results of the perceptions of our minds.

Not just our perceptions stir our emotions, but also our perceptions often makes the brain process the negative judgment of that current perception(s) as to what it will bring in the future..

which make us to suffer even more though no negative results manifest yet.

So, from now on. Learn how to just be within yourself, be with the current moment and control your thought process after you perceive something.

When an unpleasant situation comes, try not to react negatively right away.

Try to remain calm, have the control over your mind and then later on think!

Think for the solution with calmness and you’ll see the wonders it gives.

Realize the power within you, unlock it and have full control through meditation.

You don’t have to follow what the meditators do.

As for the people who are just beginning to learn about their mind, it is highly recommended to learn CONSCIOUSLY how to control your mind by becoming aware of its processes and their effects within our body.

You can’t achieve that so called ‘Awareness’ within without SILENCE.

So, give it a try!

Have a quiet time or bond with yourself even for few minutes.

Find a quiet place for you to sit, or just lie down.

But this time, don’t just sit or lie down with many processes inside your head but try to be aware of these processes, don’t judge and just let them go naturally (no pressure) until you limit them.

Then later on you’ll get what I mean about controlling or taming our mind! 😉

I hope you enjoy today’s topic!
