POVERTY AS A WEAPON

in #poverty6 years ago

Poverty is the weapon the Africans in the business of bruising our humanity use in uniting us with foolishness and "I-don't-careness".I was used to blaming the rest of Nigerians for not caring much. I was used to blaming young people who connive with politicians to make a caricature of our country. But you see, young people have stomach - they need to eat, they have dreams - they need to find a way, they have responsibilities - they need to fix them, and then - they need to impress and of coursewanting to impress is exactly what it means to be young. Our politicians have become our economy, our capital market, our stock exchange, our bank, our business world, our factors of production; is either you're connected to one or you die trying to live.We have become a group of people lumped together living with no plans and ambition for our togetherness. We just sleep and wake and breath and there's no goal and ambition and nobody is saying anything, nobody is doing anything. It has become a question of survive if you can and die if you can't survive, what the fuck you! Who cares! It doesn't matter what you do, just survive. Those who should talk are too hungry to talk, those who should take action are afraid: they don't want to join the hungry, they're packing and storing money and properties for their children, for the future, yet our present has the disturbing look of the vomit of a tuberculosis patient.
The more you think these things over the more you come to terms with the hopelessness that hovers over the climate of the Nigerian situation. Please, if you know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody that knows a Nigerian politician find a way to let the Nigerian politician know that I am loyal o.Boys gats chop food o!images.jpg
