PotCoin desktop wallet not syncing solution
I recently had trouble syncing the Potcoin desktop wallet to the blockchain, and it seems quite a few others have had the same problem. It took me quite a long time to figure it out, and I had to combine a couple of tips from different sites to get it to work, so I thought I would put them together in one post for anyone having the same problem.
First, make sure your firewall is not blocking the program!
Then in the PotCoin wallet, go to
Settings > Options > Network
and uncheck the box marked “connect through SOCKS proxy” and then close the wallet and restart it.
Then go to Help > Debug Window > Console
and copy each of these lines into it and press enter after each:
addnode 5.255.66.44 add
addnode 162.243.224.78 add
addnode 23.243.49.154 add
addnode 209.202.6.118 add
addnode 45.33.29.45 add
addnode 139.162.4.29 add
addnode 172.104.102.113 add
It should then begin to sync after a couple of minutes.
The first sync takes a LONG time, so make sure to keep the wallet open and the computer on until it is fully synced!

No problem, thanks. Hope it helps someone! I was close to just giving up and accepting that i'd lost some money, then managed to do it! This has worked for 2 other people I passed it on to in another forum as well, so hopefully this should mark the end of Potcoin problems haha

You could save a lot of time by downloading the Potcoin Blockchain files from one of the many websites that offer them and unzipping it to the Roaming/Potcoin folder.
