Everyone in life is always dreaming of achieving a particular goal, and we have been taught that the best way to achieve our goals is to be positive about them.

Positivity for once has to be realistic, whatever you are pouring all your energy into must be realistic, what I mean by realistic is not that it should have the approval of others, but you should be willing to accept any of the present short comings.

For example, Leonardo Da Vinci, drew up the sketch for the helicopter and some modern machines, centuries before the technology needed to build them was present.

So we create that future gap and paint out how we want our future to be, the cars we would buy, the companies we would build, this on its own is not bad altogether, but the mistake most people make is that, they postpone their happiness to the future alongside their dreams.

They feel they would never experience true happiness until they achieve those things they have put down on paper.

If you do this then you are bound to get yourself trapped in a never ending cycle, time changes things, so you find out that even when you finally achieve those things, you would not become happy, instead you would give yourself another set of goals that you have to achieve in other to be satisfied with your life and feel happiness.

The solution to this is for you to acknowledge your reverse gap, this is waking up in the morning and remembering who you were two years ago, how your life was, your relationships, and feel happy for how far you have come and the big things you have achieved along the way

This is the reverse gap, when you train yourself not to think only about the future, but how far you have come, then you will be able to experience happiness in the now.

You can also see it as a form of gratitude (thumbs up to @dan-atstarlite), so it is not always about thinking of your future goals, but remembering how far you have come in life, the things you were able to conquer and achieve, it will play a significant role in keeping you happy, stress free and working with the right flow.

Lol great post ! We are use our energy to be positive and the positive atitude give us more energy ! Positive is not only to put goals on front of you but also to enjoy the things you did yestarday !
So - yestarday we give some steem this make us positive ,today we motivate some people this make us optimistik for the future , tomorow we will give some more steem - our goal !
