Why I think Steemit is the future of social media

Before Steemit, I, like many would routinly check Facebook, IG, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, etc.

Since joining Steemit, those other Social media outlets now act as Steemit tools. I now use the platforms to store data (pictures, stories, video) to be used on Steemit; and really only visit them briefly to pull what I need to create my posts here. At somepoint as Steemit grows, I would imagiine that I wont need thos accounts at all. They will die off or move to a blockchain, but will they ever be considered a rival to Steemit? I mean I think most of us here are jaded with most of those platforms I mentioned so moving or evoloving their approach may be moot.

In conclusion, Reason 1 Steemit is the future: because it is first to market and I beleive is changing the way we all view social media. Its pulling us into the future leaving the fossils to die out or morph into a copycat that will be seen as such.

Reason 2

I dont know about the rest of you, but I can only liken my obsession with Steemit to MySpace when it first came around. The buzz effect happened, I got my account up and then days, weeks, months past and I was so locked in to the community. Fast forward to today, been on Steemit a little over a month and sleep is almsot erased from my schedule. Lol. I feel good contributing to this platform. I like what creating posts has done for my sense of creativity and interacting with other Steenians. I feel like Facebook and others breed competition, whereas Steemit promotes community, collaboration, inspiration and motivation to be you and share what you want.

In concluaion, point 2 is the positivity that Steemit brings to us all. Whether it be your contribution or the great contibutirs like @papa-pepper or @positive-trail and many others I am leaving out (sorry, wrting this on my phone and researching is much harder to do).

Steemit is the future becasue we the people are ready to be free anywhere it's possible. Steemit has the social media arena covered in terms of freedom and positivity. It's only a matter of time before those awake realize what is going on and go searching for a safe place... we'll be here waiting in the meantime, waiting with arms wide open to accept them.

Thats my 2 cents anyway for what it is worth. I kniw one thing thise 2 cents are worth more here then anywhere else in the WORLD, that is power of a magnitude we truley dont even realize yet.
