Cactus en flor - Cactus Flower

Después de más de 5 años de espera el cactus nos regaló nuevamente su flor.

After more than 5 years of waiting the cactus gave us its flower again.

Nunca he visto flor tan bella, delicada y efimera como la de este cactus.

I have never seen flower as beautiful, delicate and ephemeral as that of this cactus.

Hacia muchos años que no teníamos tan lindo regalo que dura apenas 5 horas.

For many years we did not have such a nice gift that lasts just 5 hours.

Ya hacía más de dos semanas que el capullo que nos terminaría dando la flor apareció muy cerca de su punto más alto. Desde entonces hemos estado espectantes para presenciar tan hermoso espectáculo de muy poca duración de tiempo.

It was more than two weeks since the bud that would end up giving us the flower appeared very close to its highest point. Since then we have been spectators to witness such a beautiful show of very short duration.

Gracias a Dios el evento ocurrió en momento en que llegue de casualidad a la casa de mis padres, y si bien no tenía mí cámara conmigo utilicé un smartphone Samsung S10 el cual tiene una muy buena cámara para poder captar la flor con todos sus detalles.

Thank God the event happened at the time I arrived by chance at my parents' house, and although I did not have my camera with me I used a Samsung S10 smartphone which has a very good camera to capture the flower with all its details.

La naturaleza es así de imprevista, a una planta que no es demasiado vistosa la ha dotado con una de las flores más bellas que jamas haya visto y por un muy pequeño período de tiempo. Durante los próximos 5 años este cactus pasará casi inadvertido, para luego regalrnos nuevamente sus sublime belleza.

Nature is so unexpected, a plant that is not too colorful has been endowed with one of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen and for a very small period of time. During the next 5 years this cactus will go almost unnoticed, and then give us again its sublime beauty.

En todo caso mi mérito fue estar en el lugar y tiempo adecuado. En definitiva de esto se trata la fotografía!!
