The end of centralized strategies

A product claiming to be PRO should meet certain standards. It should be made for longevity with every aspect in count. Such as functionality, simplicity and user friendly. As an edge product it should be physically attractive to look at. If a component or software needs to be replaced or updated it should be as easy as possible for anyone to do it. It is a necessity for a sustainable future.

I like to set the mark for death of edge products coming from major companies when Apple released their Macbook pro Retina version in 2012. It was no longer possible to use a common M.2 drive for replacement.

Since then it has been going the wrong direction, Now all is integrated so it is nearly impossible to change anything inside of it. Even for a professional it is so time consuming that it is better and cheaper for Apple to just replace the device with a new one. = The edge is gone.
Same goes with Microsoft and their "edge" surface series.

They look great and got lots of use cases, such as touch screen, detachable screens and keyboards but the engineering within the shell is frankly just a mess. For such products that cost in the range of $2000 the least one would expect is longevity. One can wonder what device all of these environmentalists using when they are writing their articles or creating their graphic designs...One thing rest assure, tech giants go for a self destructive path but things of change rest in the air.
I believe blockchain and it's communities will play a great role in this change.
