Óbidos Vila Muralhada | Obidos Walled Village

Na quarta passada o passeio das férias foi em Óbidos. Já lá tinha estado umas 4 ou 5 vezes e nunca a tinha visto tão cheia de turistas, infelizmente por um lado. Faziam tudo parecer apertado e em vez de olharmos para a vila em si, - as casas, os becos, as igrejas, a muralha, o castelo, a vista - estávamos preocupados em não esbarrar em alguém.

On wednesday, our holidays walk was at Obidos. I've already been there four or five times and I've never seen it so crowded with tourists, unfortunately. They made everything seem tight and, instead of looking at the village itself, - the houses, the alleys, the churches, the walls, the castle, the view - we were worried about not bumping on anyone.

Uma das igrejas, agora transformada em livraria. No coro estava uma artista de Renda de Bilros a demonstrar o seu trabalho. Ela é também poeta, então tinha as duas artes misturadas no espaço onde estava.

One of the churches, now turned into a bookstore. At the choir there was an artist of Renda de Bilros demonstrating her work. She's also a poet, so she mixed both arts in the space.
