Passeios de Domingo - Tomar / Sunday Walks - Tomar

No domingo passado fomos dar um passeio a Tomar, cidade Templária! Não vimos o mais importante da cidade, o Convento de Cristo (talvez fique para um destes dias...) mas ficámo-nos pelo parque da cidade e andámos na baixa, na parte histórica. Aqui estão algumas das fotografias.
On sunday we went for a walk at Tomar, a templar city! We didn't see the most important part, the Convent of Christ (maybe one of these days...) but we sat on the city green park and walked on the downtown's area, the historical part. These are some of the photos. 

Quanto peixe!! Provavelmente uma daquelas espécies muito frequentes nos rios portugueses, as carpas, que apreciam águas calmas e se alimentam de tudo!

So many fish!! Probably one of those species very frequent on portuguese rivers, carps, that enjoy calm waters and eat anything!

Não tinha em mente como era Tomar, só lá tinha estado numa visita de estudo (há muitos, muitos anos atrás!), mas é uma grande cidade com muita História para contar.
I didn't have in mind how Tomar was, I've only been there on a school trip (many, many years ago!) but it's a big city with lots of History to tell us. 

O Coreto de Tomar, datado de 1897, é o símbolo das tardes e noites animadas pelas bandas filarmónicas locais. Só encontrei informação aqui,  pouco se escreve sobre este coreto. Infelizmente, creio que hoje em dia os coretos já não cumprem esta função, mas de meros elementos decorativos dos jardins e parques municipais.

Tomar Bandstand, dated from 1897, it's the symbol of evenings and nights animated by philharmonic local bands. I only found this information, a little is written regarding this bandstand. Unfortunately, I believe that bandstands nowadays don't fill this function anymore, they are only decorative elements of municipal gardens and parks.
