    Portugal is a nation in which you can spend your morning surfing amazing waves and then go ski slopes that are snowy? Additionally, it is an area that is home to a myriad of wines that have been awarded.

20. There are far too many old castles to list
    The castles of Portugal are stunning.
    Did you have the knowledge that Portugal has been a part of Europe with an identical border since the 11th century? That’s why it’s among the most ancient nations in Europe. Fortunately, for the majority of its time, the history of the country has been preserved beautifully.
    This means that today, you can wander through the castles of the past and historic locations across the country.
    Guimaraes is the place where Portugal’s first King was born. Coimbra is home to one of the world’s most prestigious universities in the world. And no one could forget the breathtaking views of Castelo de Sao Jorge in Lisbon?
21. The Santos Festivities
    It’s fun to go to town to celebrate the holidays.
    Each year, in June, the cities and towns come alive with celebrations to honor the three Catholic saints (The Portuguese refer to these as the Popular Saints). Parades, weddings, traditional street dances, and fresh sardines line Portugal’s streets Portugal for days and even weeks.
    The celebrations start in the early evening and continue until late into the night.

22. In reality, all Festivals are festivals.

    The Portuguese people love their festivals.
    As a traditionally Catholic place, Portugal celebrates many saints throughout the year with lots of parades, music, and (of course) excellent food. If you’re a fan of celebrations, this is yet another reason to travel to Portugal.
    In Tomar Tomar, the locals have praised the Holy Spirit from the 17th century onwards at Festa dos Tabuleiros (Trays Festival).
    In this celebration, which occurs every four years (the next one is scheduled for 2023), Women march through the main streets of the town carrying half of a Kilo (1lb) of platters that are decorated with flowers and a loaf of bread over their head.
    And Portugal is home to a Carnaval too. The most memorable parades are held in Torres Vedras and Sesimbra, in which the procession features interesting political humor.
23. The stunning beaches

    Portugal is a tiny country. However, you can take advantage of all kinds of outdoor activities in the country. Enjoy the world-renowned waves of Ericeira or climb the mountains in Serra da Estrela, or sleep under the stars at Parque Nacional do Geres.
    The islands that are volcanic in the Azores are growing in popularity as a place to climb cliffs with dramatic views, explore stunning lakes, and take a dip in natural pools.
27. The word that comes to mind is Fado
    Have a fun afternoon at the Fado House.

    Sr. Vinho and Clube de Fado are two fantastic spots in Lisbon where you can sample delicious traditional Portugal cuisine and be entertained by talented Fado singers.
28. A Gondola Ride Just like Venice in Portugal

    You’ll need to have an alcoholic drink to go with your dinner.
    The beer industry has an extensive and rich history in Portugal. There’s also a long-running national debate that pits the two major breweries each the other (namely, Sagres and Super Bock).

    The party never ends in Portugal!
    If there’s one thing that Portuguese people can master (besides the fantastic food, of course) is partying. And there’s a lively party scene that is suitable for everyone in Portugal.
    From Lisbon’s bars on the streets located in Bairro Alto to the selective nightclubs of Vilamoura, the party gets underway early and ends in the early hours also (early on the following day, which is).
32. The Instagram-friendly design
    Make sure you bring your camera with you to capture photos of the structure!
    Picturesque tiles (The locals prefer calling them”azulejos”) and adorning beautiful façades and stunning designs on the cobblestone roads (calcada) are what make Portugal among the top beautiful destinations in the world.

    Portugal hosts people and makes new acquaintances. It’s a great way to make sure you’re eating healthy (you’re certain you won’t need more? ). Also, they’ll make an effort to guide you around and ensure you’ll enjoy yourself wherever you do it.
