"Shhh... Don't Worry... It's Just A Scary Steemit Post" (5 new photos)
Alright, I got the ok to share the photos from Truckee Historical Haunted Tour that I photographed last week. The event has passed and it was once again a huge sold-out success. Every year, I photograph the event during the final dress rehearsal so I can get up nice and close to the actors without bugging the audience while I'm shooting. Not all of the performances are creepy or scary but this one definitely was. The locations for the scenes are spread out throughout Downtown Truckee, this one was in the basement of one of the older buildings in town. I don't think there was any historical accuracy to this story, haha! but it was the scariest story and location of the evening.
Without knowing the story or seeing the performance, I'm curious...
Which of these images gives you the most uneasy or upsetting feeling?

All 5 of these images were shot on a Canon 5DS R with a 24-105mm lens. A flash was used with a Lightsphere diffuser attached in order to soften the light and create less harsh shadows. They were all shot handheld with an ISO of 1000, a shutter speed of 1/200 second, and an aperture of f4.

first one is really believable! for others i would probably like to see a "darker" edit.

i didn't really get it, is it like some kind of play, does it have a story and people are there from start to finish or is it just a creepy setup?
Oops, my bad for not explaining it better. Yes, about a half of a dozen mini plays happen throughout the night. Groups of audience members walk around town and stop at different locations where the performances happen. This location was the creepiest spot and there was a story to it. In short, the Doctor was actually an escaped mental ward patient and he was going to perform a lobotomy on the girl. The setup was scarier than the story, lol, but it was a fun performance to shoot. I plan on sharing more photos from the event soon...
For me, #4 is the creepiest! She is tied to a chair, sitting alone with dead body... She must be thinking what will happen next...to her! Thank God it's just a play :) Interesting shots...
