Hello dear friends! Today is a happy Friday, Steem. I decided to participate in the contest from @juliank and submit my photos on the theme of the day - Portrait. I present a picture of my sister Xenia.

Having arrived to the city, the first thing they did was run to the Devil's Wheel # as a show. It is interesting to look at everything from a height 👻

Do you like riding the Ferris wheel? I know that many are afraid of 🙊

And do you know why it is called a ferris wheel?
.
🙃The first Ferris wheel was built in 1893 by engineer George Ferris Jr.. It was installed at the World Columbian Exhibition and was created as an American response 😂 to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The turn of the wheel took twenty minutes.

🙄Workers who built the wheel, constantly urged. As a result, they began to call among themselves his "fucking", this name and caught on.
.
🤡After the exhibition was closed, this wheel was transferred twice to another place. The wheel was finally dismantled in 1904 after a year of working at the exhibition in St. Louis.

🎡Приехав в город, первым делом побежали на «Чертово колесо» #каквдетстве . Интересно посмотреть на все с высоты 👻

А вы любите кататься на колесе обозрения? Знаю, что многие боятся 🙊

А знаете ли вы почему его называют именно #чертовоколесо ?🤪
.
🙃Первое колесо обозрения построил в 1893 году инженер Джордж Феррис-младший. Оно было установлено на Всемирной колумбовской выставке и создавалось как американский ответ 😂 на башню Эйфеля в Париже.
Оборот колеса занимал двадцать минут.

🙄Рабочих, которые возводили колесо, постоянно подгоняли. В итоге они стали называть между собой его 😈 «чертовым», это название так и прижилось.
.
🤡После закрытия выставки это колесо ещё дважды переносили на другое место. Колесо было окончательно разобрано в 1904 году после того, как оно год проработало на выставке в Сент-Луисе.
