Ardo stated that his association has never supported any form of violence anywhere in the country, as he stressed that the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore is an association which supports peace, love, unity and harmony in the country. In his words: “We are peace loving people, we believe in love for one another. Any Fulani pastoralist that doesn’t believe in peace is not part of us. “It is because of our peace-loving that made the association challenge the anti-grazing law in court. We believe in judiciary and justice; not violence.” He urged security agencies to arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act. He further advised his fellow herdsmen in Benue and elsewhere to remain calm, even as he appealed to the federal government to look into the root causes of the crisis in Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Zamfara, Nasarawa, Benue and Plateau states, with a view to finding lasting solutions. Ortom claimed that Benue residents were attacked because of the anti-open grazing law recently declared in the state. He alleged that there were threats from Miyetti Allah, a herdsmen group, demanding that the law be revoked or the state would be attacked by herdsmen. Source naira. Com
