#30 - Fear Porn On Steemit - Rant

Just wondering if anyone thinks there is too much Fear Porn on Steemit? I know on other social media sites it is running rampant.
First off let me explain myself I do not consider the market melt down as fear porn I would consider that real true about to happen news.
But that being said I know there is a lot of fear porn out there like a whale washes ashore and that means the oceans are warming up and we all have 10 days left to live! That to me is what Fear Porn is, and it is used by the powers that be to keep the population from really hearing the true news. That garbage is put out there to distract and confuse the masses so they don't listen to anything except for the 6 o'clock news where every channel is putting out the same garbage.

I think the excess of Fear Porn has given birth to a new genre, Satirical Fear Porn. Plus, as with any type of fear, excessive exposure lessens the effect and numbs the subject to the actual danger. So an even larger dose of fear is needed to get the desired effect. This compounding cycle continues until the subject becomes like a zombie walking in the middle of the freeway, oblivious to any real, rational fears.
