It is amazing how easy it is to forget days or years of struggle, pain and disarray when one finally gets a way out of it. When all is well again, one tends to dwell on the present and forget how bad things used to be - how difficult it was to pay rent, how difficult it was to pay school fees, how difficult it was to pass an exam, and so on. However, when these challenges are overcome, you forget the pain and rejoice in the victory you have attained.

Your present struggles, strives and pain will give way for ease, and a lot of gain if only you keep your head up high, refuse to give up and press on. Never think you are destined to be poor or to be sick. The good book says ...weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. and ...he that shall endure till the end shall be saved. If you allow complacency, or mediocrity, you will not have enough energy to push yourself forward.

Remember that after you had lunch yesterday, you forgot that you were formerly hungry. Likewise, you will look back someday and say was I truly this poor or was I truly this sick or was I truly this terrible at work. If you give up when things are bad, you may not have enough strength to enjoy when things turn for good.

A true story of a realistic man who once lived in a country deep in economic recession. The situation got so bad that almost everyone lost hope of a better economy. Many migrated to neighbouring countries where the economy was better while others continued to struggle for life. Finally, there was a prophesy from a reputable man that the next day, things would transform for good. While others hoped for this reality, this so called realistic man refused to believe and thought people were deceiving themselves believing that prophesy. The next day, the prophesy came to pass and the pessimistic man died that same day, without benefiting of the boom.
