Do I put my stories/posts here? Once lived a deer quite dangerous to all
Compared to this deer,
all others seemed small
Once lived another deer who seemed quite languorous
to one and all
Now most every deer knows that languorous
means to be lazy and that large means
wondrous and tall
Maybe most thought they did
but pride often comes before a fall
A human king changed it all
He ordered the deer to be
captured and killed
because he loved so
the meat of the deer to eat
Now, a lot of deer were injured
by clumsy hunters and the
human king made a decree
that the deer should fenced
into captivity
One deer would be singled
out each day and it's life
would it pay
for the royal
feasts to be
It came to come around one day
that a doe with due fawn
soon to see the light of life to be
had been selected
to lay her life down for this cause
She asked the leader, the tall strong, proud
hero for a while for her to have enough time
for her child to be, but he
said it was simply her time to go
and of course, she cried ... so
The little deer, the languorous one
as all had thought
went to the King and offered
his neck to the chopping block
To save the doe and Fawn
The King was astounded
And set all the Deer free.
