Lower Pond : Spring Update
The lower pond seems to have survived the winter ok. I kept the air pump running 24/7 over winter to keep the ice off the pond. All the plants are still dormant but its time to get things up and running again for the summer.
All the fish seem to have survived and hopefully as things warm up they will start breeding again. I've managed to get them feeding pretty quickly on the warmer days
The next job will be to get the filter upgraded with an extra pre filter box. I'll pick up some filter pads from ebay and a tub from the warehouse. The moving bed is up and running so fingers cross the bacteria will be building up.
