Lara Lopez, a student at the School of Interior Architecture from the University of Burgos, signs the winning project of the competition ASTI Experience.

Technology and digital transformation are the pillars on which rests the burgos ASTI TechGroup, a company that since his company's historic Asti Mobile Robotics, which has today the largest range of vehicles without driver of the market, has been growing and adding new divisions such as its subsidiary, distribution of technology - ASTI Technologies Distribution; ASTI Consulting Services oriented to the improvement of industrial efficiency and competitiveness; or the foundation, ASTI Talent and Technology Foundation to promote the talent in a time of social change driven by technology. It is precisely this last branch, it arises the project ASTI Experience, in collaboration with the University of Burgos. The goal: to transform and adapt to the philosophy of the company's facilities at its headquarters in Madrigalejo del Monte (Burgos).

Six students of the School of Interior Architecture of the UBU attended the contest in which the winner was the proposal ‘upper and lower surfaces’ of Lara López Peña; a young man of 22 years since I have memory recalls building houses, toy and imagining the lives of those who inhabited them. For her, the first call to the design came from her mother, with whom he now shares a profession, and whose work always felt attracted.

“Upper and lower surfaces’ are born after a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics and values of ASTI and from there to be inspired by the work of some benchmarks for me as Enric Miralles– architect - or Pablo Palazuelo -painter; and on all-in-organic elements and natural as a simple sheet or topographic map that represents a natural landscape”. This defines Lara Lopez, a project that was chosen, according to the words of the jury, for “its functionality, accessibility, mobility, and communication; as well as by the criteria of safety and habitability, protection against noise, energy-saving systems and thermal insulation”.

The material protagonist in this redesign is the polycarbonate, at the service mainly of the translucency. ”Lets pass the light, offers a great choice of colours; it is light, easy to assemble and with a great capacity of thermal and acoustic insulation. In addition to its appearance conveys a high-tech development, in line with the values and mission of ASTI”, pointing to the student and the UBU. Now, Lara Lopez will have funding and a scholarship of six months to develop and implement the project.dd8bd278151699b3cafa697aec356aa1.jpgPolicarbonato.com-Lexan Cristal.jpg
