Spotlight on Poloniex Contest: Features I will Like to See on Poloniex [Part 1]

It is nice to see you again on my blog, and I am still writing on Poloniex, the legendary crypto asset exchange. In this post, I will be writing about the features I will like to see on Poloniex. It is not a post to highlight the negativity of the exchange but rather to help improve on its service and products.

Fiat Deposit and Withdrawal

Poloniex has over the years been accepting the deposit and withdrawal of cryptocurrency so as to enable trading, which was what cryptocurrency exchanges were majorly about but in recent times things have changed. A lot of people do not want to have their money in the bank instead, they prefer to have it on exchanges so they can be used to trade and invest at anytime rather than have it deducted bit by bit by the bank because they keep it for them. Poloniex inability to deposit, withdraw and trade fiat can be seen as a major challenge which has made users switch to other exchanges.

Exchanges like Binance, trade about 20 fiat currencies including the Nigerian Naira which is the local currency in my country. Allowing the deposit, withdrawal and trading of fiat as pair to other crypto asset allow traders to easily withdraw and deposit their local currency without stress as well as cutting the transaction fees on transfers from fiat exchanges to Poloniex.

Peer to Peer (P2P) Trading

One feature I have been expecting to see on Poloniex is P2P where users can trade fiat for cryprocurrency and vice versa. In the case where fiat deposit isn't possible, having a trusted exchange like Poloniex act as an Escrow for the trading of fiat and cryptocurrency would be appreciated but this feature isn't available on Poloniex.

Improving on Buy and Sell with Fiat

Being able to buy coins with debit, credit or directly from bank is an alternative to Fiat deposit and it is good that Poloniex have this features but this feature isn't available on Android mobile app as well as the page looks missing or link broken while accessing it with mobile chrome. The function is only available on desktops and PCs.

News Notification on App

Cryptocurrency hasn't gotten the traction it deserves and people want to get updates even when they are not on the mobile app or on the site, also Poloniex need to get people keen to its wonderful exchange.

These two problems can be solved by notifying users about prices of BTC, TRX, and so on, as well as other promotional activities, new listings, notifications about deposits and withdrawals through the Poloniex application and so on. Keeping your users informed about cryptocurrency as notifications on a regular, means keeping the exchange in the mind of the users.
