Poloniex waiting for update from STEEM?

in #poloniex7 years ago (edited)

If anyone is still using Poloniex.com to trade STEEM then you probably have noticed this..

Which states:

STEEM is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the STEEM team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.

Does anyone know if this has been sent back from STEEM, or if there are any updates?

I just use Bittrex now for STEEM

I have no idea but have had a lot of fun range trading from 40k to 50k on Polo. I hope they do turn the wallet back on soon.

Nice.. and they do have the lowest btc withdraw fees at .0001 btc vs .001 on Bittrex.

A lot of people don't trust Poloniex because they shut down their wallet's external transactions.. but it kinda makes me wonder if they are wiser for it. It may be short staffing or laziness.. but could also often be calculation of risk and protecting its users against various issues coins have from time to time.

I do not think it is good for Poloniex what is doing... Think if you go to a market and want to buy some oranges and when you arrive there they tell you they have not because of problem with the orange producer... but on your way to the market you saw all the other shops full of oranges... Good publicity or bad publicity are both publicity but in this case I doubt will do any good. They are lying for no reason, there is no problem with the Steem wallet or blockchain as you can see ;)

They have had that on and off for the past month :P Go to bittrex.
