What Palestinians think of Hamas.

Here's a poll of Gazans right before the October 7th attacks from Arab Barometer. (Note that these are only of adults in Gaza, so adjust these in light of the Gazan population being half children under 18).

If presidential elections were held in Gaza, only 24% would vote for the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh. Only 27% selected Hamas as their preferred political party.

54% favored a two-state solution according to the Oslo accords.

73% favored a peaceful solution to the conflict. Only 20% of Gazans favored a military solution that could result in the destruction of the state of Israel.

78% said the availability of food was a moderate or severe problem. 75% said it was a moderate or severe problem to afford food even when available. 75% said they had run out of food and lacked money to buy more at one point in the previous 30 days.
