The "hate crimes" are now illegal in Venezuela (Zero free speech)

in #politics7 years ago

The National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela, composed only of people close to the socialist government, yesterday approved a "Law against Hate" to punish with its closure those media that transmit "hate messages".

"The radio or television service provider who broadcasts messages that constitute propaganda in favor of war or advocacy of national, racial, religious, political or other hatred will be sanctioned with the revocation of the concession."

But it is not only the channels and the media that are going to be condemned by political correctness, punishment will also be applied to any legal entity that publishes a "hate message" in social networks and/or electronic media (what???)

In addition, all public and private media in the country must reserve to the government a minimum space of 30 minutes per week to transmit "messages that promote diversity, tolerance and mutual respect."

The law was approved by the Venezuelan National Constituent Assembly (which was elected unconstitutionally and without the participation of any opposition party to the regime)by direct order of Nicolás Maduro, and applies sentences of up to 20 years in prison to those found guilty of promoting "hate crimes", the curious thing is that the law contradicts itself because in article 11 it is established that the parties that promote "fascism" can not be incrisors to the National Electoral Council, which is in itself an act of "hatred for political position".

Maduro argued that the "messages of hate" in the media (of which all are attached to the government, and the only "opposition" belongs to Vladimir Villegas, brother of the government minister Ernesto Villegas) and social networks began strong protests that lived a few months ago the country and left 120 dead.

Of course, it was the "hate messages" that led to the protests and not the shortage of basic resources such as food and medicine in the country -1-, nor was it because the salary of more than 70% of the population is less than $ 12 per month -2-, for nothing, much less the protests have to do with the fact that in the country with the largest oil reserves in the world fuel is scarce -3-, much less that the sixth country with the largest reserves of natural gas in the world cannot supply its population with this, making endless lines to buy it -4-, not at all. The protests also have nothing to do with the crime rates that have gone up in the last 18 consecutive years, positioning Venezuela as the third country with the highest intentional homicide rate in the world -5-. Much less that the eleventh country in reserves of fresh water worldwide cannot provide water resources to its citizens -6-, neither in the center nor in the interior of the country where the water services have constant failures every week (I do not exaggerate at all, every week).

But I will not continue with a list of complaints and list all the problems that socialism has caused in Venezuela (and that can cause in any other country, it does not matter if it is Germany, Sweden or the United States) because time would not reach me, neither to me nor to anyone.

Obviously the solution to these problems is the political correctness via constitution, because they are also writing about the Magna Carta.
