The Truth About Left and Right Political Views

Good old history show us that the political left/right narrative have failed us miserably. Both ideologies have failed to deliver equality, balance, prosperity, quality of life and, most important, they have both bought into the idea that we can explore the shit out of the planet like there’s no tomorrow.
The debate has been so shallow in regards to the REAL problems we face as species that is laughable. I see no parties debating what to do with the real problem of peak oil, with the real problem of loss of life in the oceans, with the real problem of the upcoming fresh water scarcity, with the real problem of unprecedented debt levels, the real problem of rare earth mining and pollution, just to cite a few of the REAL problems that seems to be swept under the carpet on every major elections around the world.
Nowadays it’s easy to point this out because of all the registered history shows exactly this. Divide and conquer is being played for millennia, so blaming the right for all the bed stuff sounded fair and logic, just to see the left uplifted to power and doing the exact same things (yes yes, a little difference in some policies here and there - that doesn’t affect the macro anyway).
It’s so easy to point out that there are no core differences, that now they’re making up new denominations such as the all new and shiny alt-right (who doesn’t remember Tony Blair with the so called “third way”?).
A politician is a politician is a politician.
As soon as we learn once and for all that THERE’S NO POLITICAL SOLUTIONS for our core problems, we can deal with them properly. In fact, politicians have driven us to the situation we are in, but they got their unfair share to build bunkers and to flee to “safe zones” when shit hits the fan.
One way or another we are going to be forced to deal with it, for nature doesn’t recognize left/right neither politics. I just hope we still have time left to sort this mess out when the bill comes to our table.
Recently we had the case of a candidate that won the elections with a platform of change (just like his predecessor, who also didn’t change shit) and showed just in the first 4 months that, besides not changing anything, he’s flipped 180 degrees on major campaign points. Not to blame the guy, they’re all the same. The point is, don’t buy into the left/right bullshit. They have no solutions for any real problem, nor does the alt-right, the fuckall left or the third or fourth way.
It’s time we take control of our lives as species and reject the political divisions that are all, in the end, a big distraction.
