This whole scandal reads like a trashy novel. Unfortunately, it is very real. We are witnessing a level of corruption, enabled on an ongoing basis by the very worn and frayed fabric of a government that is in its last stages of self-destruction. Think: how could the Clintons - notoriously criminal from the time Bill Clinton was governor of Alabama - be allowed to run for public office - let alone the highest office of the land, unless the system was already rigged to allow for such travesty. All the checks and balances had been removed, systematically and over time. And this is just one of the numerous such issues occurring today.
