Society Is Too Complex To Be Ruled
The article title is obnoxious and misleading. The actual point is that society now is too complex and interconnected for a few elected officials to understand enough to make useful decisions. The greater the complexity of the society the more arbitrary the politicians' decisions will be.
People who are both well meaning and intelligent are more likely to recognize that pursuing positions of power so far beyond their ability is irresponsible, so the system preselects politicians who are arrogant, malicious, or both.
