Trump: Thank you China! Your negotiation with North Korea failed

For months, President Donald Trump, his deputy Mike Pence, as well as senior US officials declared that any progress with regard to North Korea's nuclear program depended on China.

But with Twitter's 140 fonts, Trump put an end to this hope, showing that Chinese efforts did not work.

"I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi and China to help the North Korean case, but they did not work. At least I know that China tried, "Trump said.

US media write that Trump's comment surprised many people in the administration, who did not know of any China-US meeting where this conclusion was made.

In the past, Trump has said he prefers to work with China to solve the North Korean problem, but has also added that he can do it alone.

As usual, Trump's comments on "Twitter" leave plenty of room to discuss, even speculated, since China has failed, the US president does not explain what will happen.

None of the major powers want a nuclear Korea, but international diplomacy is far more complicated than merely a one-sided intervention, and President Trump seems to have already learned this.
