Dumbo: another powerful tool in the CIA's arsenal is exposed
As Vault 7 continues to cast light on the CIA's latest and most ambitious pet projects, this latest release has grabbed my attention more than usual.
The software Dumbo has the capability to alter and delete camera footage as well as disable live cameras.
It is typically loaded onto a USB stick and can manipulate computers which are accessed physically by CIA field agents (it cannot be used remotely).
It does not require a vivid imagination to understand the potential impact of this James Bond/Jason Bourne-esque gadget.
Evidence in assassination cases being wiped in seconds, CCTV cameras conviently 'breaking' at opportune moments; both now conceivable with Dumbo in the pockets of unscrupulous agents.
Welcome to 2017. Nothing is quite what it seems.

Reminds me of Costco's security footage when Erik B. Scott was shot.
