DOJ decided to drop child porn charges rather than acknowledge Wikileaks as a legitimate source of informationsteemCreated with Sketch.

After US intelligence agents and police toiled for thousands of hours in order to put a serious dent in the dark net pornography industry as part of last year’s sting of the website Playpen, federal prosecutors decided to drop serious charges rather than allow the defence to bring Wikileaks content to the table as evidence.

The defence of David Tippens, who was accused of creating child pornography, intended to use documents from Wikileaks’ ‘Vault 7’ series of CIA cyber-tools in order to demonstrate how authorities could use exploits to manipulate metadata and time stamps, meaning that this data could not be reliably used to prosecute.

Instead of allowing the Wikileaks documents - which are publicly accessible online - to be used in court, they simply abandoned two cases relating to producing child pornography. This means that David Tippens will only face one remaining count of possession of child pornography, which carries no minimum sentence.

The Wikileaks Vendetta

Although the US intelligence community’s position on the organisation which is slowly leaking astonishing US-created exploits used to gain access to popular devices is unsurprisingly negative, making such a counterproductive decision is bizarre. Almost childish, in fact.

Wikileaks is a publisher. Assange publishes classified data, but how is this different to the New York Times releasing the Pentagon Papers back in 1971? Is anyone suggesting that the New York Times should be ostracised in the same way as Wikileaks, considering that they committed the same crime?

Of course not, because the US intelligence community has no interest in erasing the New York Times, which serves as a government mouthpiece as often as it gives us anti-government scoops such as the Pentagon Papers.

Wikileaks is beyond a thorn in the side of the establishment. As a result of this they will undergo every dirty tactic the deep state has in its locker.

But this story should be proof that the persecution of Wikileaks has nothing to do with the rule of law; it is about destroying an enemy of shady government bureaus whom maintain a vice-like grip over the world in secret.

If dangerous criminals evade punishment for their crimes? This is just collateral damage, no big deal for the deep state.

Julian Assange for President!

Disgusting - ReSteemed

thanks for the resteem, can't say I applaud the "law" and it's decision in this scenario. I was thinking they will be washing their hands wit everyone, but I suppose all the hype is gone so they have nothing to appeal to

they have passed the "corruption horizon"; it's why they have doubled down on stupid in their Information War (media) and why they are in such a frenzy right now.

Whether Trump is serious or not about draining the swamp, his actions have ripped off the mask, and any weakening of their current position will cause their house of cards to crumble.

They really should have just stuck with a "sustainable" level of kickback LOL

hey you play god you think you are one. But you have to do a lot of compensation from a lot of people to cover all fronts. It's a shame, ideas get distorted, context is not payed attention to, things get swept under the rug, people forget everything after a week, its really men in black at this stage, people get neuralized.

what...? disgusting.. :/
upvoted you..

hahah yeah, prove to a court that you can shut off a computer and write any file you like, so clearly the child pornography was made by the FBI or whatnot, clearly it could have been anyone for that matter, it's not that they scoped the whole forum or whatnot there for months, before they finally got some results, after who knows how long, but even child pornography is not a problem, you see those people are disabled so we shouldn't judge them so harshly? is that the logic here, where is the logic here actually.

Last I hear there were some either hundreds or thousands of people busted after a sting op, whole libraries and servers or something. Why even fall back to the Wikileaks, how do they fuck up investigations, what's up with the judges, do they expect the person to take a selfie while filming a porno. With a timestamp and a second picture to verify that, with a newspaper and a watch or whatever.

Nevermind, shitty. Really. Justice sure is blind.

Excellent post, glad to see you still putting out great work keep It up. Wikileaks Is one of the most trusted sources for Information there Is.
United States Is a corporation owned by the Cabal of Zionist/Jesuit criminals that run CIA, FBI, NASA, NATO, IMF, UN, the whole system Is corrupt, It's a sewer.
