Nunes Didn't Read FISA Application His Memo is Based On
Yesterday Devin Nunes, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, released a controversial memo alleging the FBI's FISA application to begin surveillance of Carter Page was based on the Steele Dossier.
Hours later Nunes gave an interview in which he admitted to not reading the FISA application himself. He requested Trey Gowdy to read the FISA application while Nunes wrote the memo.
Trump, Fox News, and other conservative sources have run with this to claim that the entire investigation is now compromised and even question the legitimacy of the FBI and Justice Department, which is currently led by Trump's own appointee Jeff Sessions.
Meanwhile Trey Gowdy himself had this to say in a series of tweets:

When asked in the Fox News interview if he or his team coordinated in any way with Trump on the release of this memo Nunes replies no.
But Trump had to declassify the information in the memo so it could be released.
