The original idea of America as a place where people could live their lives through self-governance was unique.
The US only became more statist as time went on because the people wanted to include the government in every area of life where they could "work for us"; also holding democracy as the ideal, gives power to the masses and an illusionary control of political power.
This is way we need a re-education. Voluntary of course.
