In 2017, 1% of the world's population earned 82% of the wealth generated

According to a report by Oxfam, eighty-two per cent of the wealth generated last year went to the richest one per cent of the global population, while the 3.7 billion people who make up the poorest half of the world saw no increase in their wealth.

The report reveals how the global economy enabled the wealthy elite to accumulate vast fortunes while hundreds of millions of people are struggling to survive on poverty pay.

This is how the economy is designed to work to favor the wealthy, those who are already wealthy earn much more from their investments and interests, they do not have to perform any labor to earn an income. They get the majority of the rewards. While those who have to go to work every day and perform labor in exchange for currency get the crumbs that are left over... this is the trickle down economics the wealthy and the politicians brainwash the population into believing....
