Rent-seekng politicians will always strive to create new laws by which they can punish their enemies and reward their friends.
The stick of selective enforcement weighs heavily on their enemies, and brushes lightly over their friends,
Violating privacy rights allows them to find out who obeys their laws, and who criticizes the politicians. We have already seen politicians use anti-bullying laws to seek to punish critics.
Using encryption helps you to maintain your privacy. Good post, timsaid!
