This is an excellent article, and touches on some really important points. Maintaining your privacy both online and off is important for a variety of reasons. I actually just made a post here yesterday about some bad things that happened because my husband revealed too much personal information about us to someone he met online, and thought was his friend. We both take extra precautions to guard our privacy now. There's an excellent book called "How to Be Invisible," by J.J. Luna that describes in detail exactly WHY you may want to make yourself invisible to everyone but those who truly know you.
