Boris Johnson Continues To Become More Popular Despite Unprecedentedly Negative Press
The chart above is very clear and simple to read. Boris Johnson continues to be (Ever increasingly) popular for a very simple reason. The reason is that despite all of his flaws and gaffes, he has steadfastly kept his word (so far) about a leaving on October 31.
Politics is very simple in my opinion. Constituents are smarter than they are given credit for. When a politician has a simple message and sticks to it despite crushing opposition he/she gains respect.
Agreeing or not with the message is a different matter altogether. It all boils down to having a simple message and not being weak and cowering in the face of difficulties.
