'Dirty Fake News' - Moscow slams western media 'disinformation campaign' claiming OPCW being denied entry to Douma
On Monday, an array of western mainstream media came out with strikingly similar headlines as they all accused Moscow of “blocking” the OPCW experts from entering Douma.
Western media are waging an “unscrupulous disinformation campaign” by claiming Moscow and Damascus are “blocking” OPCW inspectors from accessing the site of an alleged chemical attack in Douma, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
“It was Russia that supported the request of the Syrian government to the Director General of the Technical Secretariat of the [Organization for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons] to send … experts to Douma,” said Maria Zakharova, dismissing the media allegations.
