CBS News Executive Fired For Disgusting Comments Anout Republicans
It has been a historically awful day in Las Vegas and in our country. As of tonight, the death toll has risen to 59 people with over 500 people hurt. Yet some people have made this political and said some disgusting things on social media today.
And none worse than Hayley Geftman-Gold, a CBS News Executive. She said today that Vegas Victims didn't deserve sympathy because most country fans are Republicans. CBS acted quickly and fired her.
What is this world coming to when people are making horrific comments like this when people are fighting for their lives and dead people are still laying in the streets?
Let’s hope that this nation can come together to mourn this historic last 20 hours.

Good for CBS to act so quickly. How stupid is she? It's bad enough to think it, or to even say it to close friends or family, but to post it on social media is just asking to get fired. I will never understand how someone so smart (presumably) can have such little common sense.
What a terrible thing to say, usually i hate mainstream news but I got to hand it to CBS on this one for the swift firing of someone that wants to politicize a disaster that happened not even 24 hours ago.

I think people who make comments like she did have never experienced what it's like to lose someone close. Anytime there is a loss of life there is always somone who will hurt because of the loss. Once you've experienced it, you understand what the hurting person is going through. It's a feeling that you don't want anyone to experience.
