They tell us we're on the brink of nuclear war.

However, if you look at who is pushing this narrative, you'll realize that it's just more of the same fear mongering by the Mainstream Media. According to major news outlets, it's North Korea that is at fault in this crisis. They are the aggressor, they provoke, they are unwilling to cooperate, etc. etc.

So who's pushing this narrative, exactly?

• It's the media that told us Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction (Lie).
• It's the media that told us Al Qaeda were "peace warriors" in the 80s (Lie).
• It's the media that told us Assad is the worst of the parties involved in the Syrian conflict, while Islamic "rebels" and the White Helmets are heroes (Lie).
• It's the media that clearly chose a side in the American elections.
• It's the media that keeps supporting bigger government and the loss of individual liberty under the guise of National Security and security against terrorism.
• It's the media that keeps supporting the endless wars the West is fighting.

Now, they are pushing another war... with North Korea.

Why are we to believe that this is necessary? Attacking another country is NOT self defense. We don't even know North Korea actually has nuclear weapons. The only thing we know comes from their national television channel, which is of course all propaganda too.

Let's be real here. North Korea has never been a threat to the west. If they were so aggressive as the media claims them to be, why ahven't they attacked anyone yet? It's been over 60 years since the Korea war. They have had plenty of time to 'be aggressive'. This story doesn't seem logical to me at all. That's why I don't believe anything the Mainstream Media wants me to hear, especially after telling so many lies and propaganda. I'm completely apathetic towards the threat of North Korea.

To me, it seems like North Korea is doing a very good job at defending itself from imperial powers. Iraq was accused of having WMDs and got destroyed. Syria was accused of using chemical weapons and now they are in a lot of trouble as well. Iran was accused of developing nuclear weapons and many factions within the US government are still preparing to go to war with them. Hillary Clinton even said during her presidential campaign that she would go to war with Iran if she was elected.

Now, North Korea is accused of having nuclear weapons too, but they say: "You know what, we do have nuclear weapons. And if you try to take us out, you're going down along with us."

Why no alternatives to war?

War is always destructive. It's bad for the economy and society. There is no recovering from a nuclear war.

Why then is the US government always trying to respond with aggression? Everytime North Korea does something 'threatening', the only way they know to respond is with economic sanctions. As if Kim Jong-Un cares about its citizens. North Korea doesn't even do business with the West anyway. It's useless. And as Frederic Bastiat said: "When goods don't pass the border, soldiers will." War is not an option.

If the West is so concerned about trying to better other nations, why not negotiate? The Soviet Union didn't concede anything because of foreign intervention, but rather through negotiation with the West. Why can't we try that with North Korea too? Besides, free trade has proved to lift the most people out of poverty compared to any other system. Why not give them that opportunity too?

The only way to achieve peace is to be peaceful.

I hope that's become clear after decades of useless and endless wars. Let's not have another one. Instead, let's try to convince and press them to do good. Good ideas don't require force.
