How come Al Qaeda/ISIS never attacks Israel?
My thought of the day: why do terrorist groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS never mention or attack Israel?
You would think that Israel is a prime target for islamic jihadists, right? Or at least there would be some tensions between them. However, the only problem Israel seems to have is some badly organized attacks from Hamas, a militant group located in Gaza.
I find this rather strange, since Israel shares a border with Syria, which is controlled for 70% by jihadist militant groups:

Yet, there are no problems at all. Even stranger, it is reported that Israel even treats wounded Al Qaeda fighters in Israel itself and sending them back to fight afterwards.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend
So, it seems like the relation between Israel and Islamist factions in Syria are probably of the type "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". All sides dislike the Syrian government even more than they dislike each other, which comes in pretty handy in the current conflict. It will be very interesting what the geopolitical landscape will look like in a few months. Maybe relations between Israel and Islamist factions will change, but I wouldn't count on it.
Greater Israel and the Oded Yinon plan
It is important to also keep in mind the Oded Yinon plan: a objective that various Israeli factions strive for, both within the Netanyahu government and the IDF and intelligence services. Its goal is to expand Israel's territory a significant amount. In order to achieve this, the current Arab states should be split up and more easily controllable. This is exactly what has happened with the rise of the Wahabbi militant groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda in the Middle East.

It's no coincidence that the so called "syrian revolution" started in Daraa, Southern Syria. Since day one, the "rebels" had Israeli backing. They've been financing and supporting them along with Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia (the birthplace of the ISIL wahhabi murders and beheadings). And before ISIL took control of south Syria, Al-Nusra front (Al-Qaeda affiliates) were enjoying Israeli backing and hospital treatment as well.

As an Egyptian, I'm wary of conspiracy theories, and would rather that we - Muslims - did some house-cleaning by examining our own conscience, first. ISIS has attacked Israel via the Egyptian Sinai border via missiles. The main reason they do not attack Israel is that they are preoccupied with other battles within Syria, Iraq and Souther Egypt. In addition, ISISI would have no chance against the IDF. In addition, Israel provides humanitarian medical support to Syrian people via the shared border, they also provide medical support to Palestinian civilians despite the hostilities . Trying to pin Israel of supporting ISIS is utter conspiracy bullshit, do you really think extreme Muslims would work together with Israel?

ISIS are big heroes when it comes to attacking broken-down countries (or regions), where they can operate without much opposition. This will not be the case in Israel, which has a strong government and a professional, well-trained modern army.
Good point you have there...very good! I don't understand exactly what the Israelis are hoping to achieve by supporting ISIS and the likes. I think this plan to split up Arab states and grab some territory afterwards has the potential to backfire in a spectacular way. These Islamist fanatics Israel now supports do not seem the kind of people that, in the long run, would tolerate the very existence of a Jewish state. Once the genie is out of the battle it's hard make it go back inside.
I don't know. The Israelis are particularly good in defending their own borders and driving out those that they do not want in it. They have achieved that in most of their territory already, so I don't think it's impossible with other territory.

Its the greater Israel project that is in full implementaion now.. they need to destroy the muslim countries and then will launch their proxies to take over and then to show the world they will attack those proxies and take over the whole land... google for the greater israel maps.. u'll see the true picture...
I am Israeli, all our people want is to live in peace. It is people like you that inflate incorrect information and grow the hate. The only land being taken over is by Arab countries in Syria and Iraq.

Israel does not support ISIS. You have been misled about that.
Israel has no intention of expanding it's borders, nor of being involved in Arab politics, where it can avoid it.
Why don't you ask yourself though, what would you do if you were in Israel's position, and ISIS / Al-Qaeda become active on your doorstep, fighting one of your biggest enemies.
