No one is born a collectivist. How come the popular belief is against capitalism?
Someone who opposes communists as much as I do correctly deduced the conclusion of the compulsive and violent nature of the State.
But he still isn't a fan of the free market, claiming like pretty much every other statist that the free market leads to monopolies and the capitalists exploiting the poor.
And then on a larger scale you've got Hollywood and the academe hating on capitalism and promoting socialism, in whatever form and degree. I look up my Facebook news feed and say, "Oh just another pop media outlet exposed as a Communist propaganda tool." It's almost as if the very word capitalism itself embodies the worst of humanity, and scores of people hate on it despite benefiting from private property exchange themselves in their daily lives.

ironic since private ownership of the means of production can not exist without a monopoly of force.
ironic that capitalists must immediately attack all forms of leftism in society to keep their "natural" dominance.
