A New Day In America

I am insulted by high and mighty politicians that think just because their party was elected, on either side, that somehow it’s a “new day in America” as Nancy Pelosi put it in her victory gloat after Tuesday’s election results started rolling in.

Do these people really think they are that present in our minds? Do these people think just cause they are in power that they have an ability to make my life better and more productive? I can’t stand people who have this belief that the Economy is good or bad because of some politicians. It’s always the case that the other side of the isle blames the party in charge if things are bad, while the party in charge takes credit when things are good, and everyone tries to white wash every turd they can because, let’s be real, it’s all shit, and they produce it like a turned over portojohn.

Now for the facts, almost half of the voters give so few shits about the politics going on in Washington that they don’t even take the time to go vote. These people in Washington no matter who they are are just trying to get funds for their next election campaign, so they speak many platitudes while delivering crap, but do we really want what they deliver anyways, if they could deliver those platitudes they joyously profess?

Many do I suppose but I don’t. I want to be left the hell alone. That’s it. I’ll actually go down and vote, no intimidation needed, if the candidate said “I’ll go to Washington and do nothing.” Cause let’s be honest most of the stuff they do is just to grease the palms of special interest lobbyists who are gonna make max donations to their campaign.

So is it a new day in America? Well the sun did rise, without the help of anyone in Washington. So I guess it is. Other than that nothing is changing.
