Enabling Civil War 2.0 - Part III - Attack of the Journa-tards

"Paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from >deceiving the people... " — Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black (1886-1971)

The Unemployables

The phony Civil War II is the only paying gig, the only action left for otherwise unemployable hacks. Newspapers and magazines are going broke right and especially left, which makes sense because that's almost all there is! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of poorly educated, mentally-inbred yammering jackweeds. All they have left is the old "Let's-You-and-Him-Fight" game, directly out of Games People Play by psychologist Eric Berne, M.D., 1967.

Kneel before your oppressors! Don't stand tall and defiant! That's racist!

The dual deranged "mindsets" that favor civil uproar and social chaos for fun and profit rely upon a single, specific shared political value. Which is: the ruling elite on both sides of the virtual battlefield (the now-meaningless political "spectrum") are united in solid backroom agreement to never let a third point of view see the light of day.

"When everyone thinks alike, no one thinks very much." — Walter Lippman (1889-1974), American journalist, author of >Public Opinion, 2 Pulitzers.

A big part of that of course is to ensure the partisans are constantly at each others' throats. This is the dirty work assigned the low-rent media whores who took over from the real journalists after the real money dried up from losing real customers tired of being lied and condescended to (and, finding real truth elsewhere!) And as if we didn't already know, assigned by whom?

"We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false."
— William Casey, CIA Director under Reagan, '81-'87 (in a cynical, unguarded moment)

The real political spectrum stretches through our mental cyberspace from Hades to Nirvana, not Socialism to Fascism, nor Left to Right; it's Authority versus Individual Liberty. Who is on top? Who is to control whom? Who has the power, the government or the individual? In this case only, or in all cases as a matter of principle? What does the Constitution say? Why should it matter?

Well never you mind what the damned inconvenient Constitution says; rigid control is enforced by each state's ballot nazi's with their own unique twist, some key states more draconian and of course partisan to the core whichever way. They seem to take secret pride in being "tougher;" more arbitrary and more stubbornly unjust than their neighbors. (Specifics? Consult Richard Winger, publisher of Ballot Access News for the last 40 or so years).
