USA is quickly turning into Nazi Germany
If the Patriot Act was like the Reichstag Fire Decree, then the "Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Counterfeiting Act of 2017" looks like the new Nuremberg Laws. It has the same effect.
A tragedy happened on 9/11 so people got scared and run to the Government for help. The majority of Americans are totally OK with the Patriot act, 62% of them think it's good or it should actually be stricter:
Well then prepare yourself for the Nazi tyranny Americans, because here comes the Nuremberg Laws II. where the Government will have total authority to confiscate all your wealth and jail you up to 10 years into a "concentration camp" for not complying.
Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Counterfeiting Act of 2017
It's a new pending bill, but it will probably pass, because why not? Here is a quick summary what the bill contains:
- All citizens have to declare any form of monetary value they are carrying when travel over 10,000$ (cash, bitcoin, gold ,etc...)
- Failure to comply will result in 5 or even 10 years of prison, and confiscation of the assets, which might never be returned
- In certain cases all of your assets could be confiscated (so you go to jail for 10 years + all your assets confiscated: your house, your car, your land, everything)
- Gift cards, Gift coupons, Prepaid cards, Prepaid phones, and cryptocurrencies must be overseen and reported to the Government
- All vendors of such (like gift card sellers) are required to spy on you and report all your purchases to the government, a snitch informant network just like in the Soviet Union
- All cryptocurrency vendors, creators, issuers, and others are also required to send overy KYC information about their userbase, and possibly hand over control over the currency later on
Welcome to Nazi Germany, where you can be sent to 10 years of prison + all your money confiscated!

US Gas Chambers
And then US Prisons also had Nazi Gas Chambers, where they literally gassed prisoners just like in the Nazi Holocaust:
They used these Gas Chambers up until 1999, but who knows maybe they will activate them again, there is nothing surprizing at this point how evil things are over there.
So it looks like the same methodology as what the Nazis did, it's the exact same thing happening all over again, and this is just the tip of the iceberg, the tyranny is already there. Even if to some miracle this bill were to not pass, the tyranny is already there.

I've been against the "Patriot Act" since its inception. Very thought provoking article, and much food for thought about history as relates to the present day.
It's really sad that more people don't agree with you, but that is how it is, people are too stupid until evil is just so untolerable that they must come to their senses.
Unfortunately it's nothing better in the EU, they will just probably copy these tyrannyical laws, after all the EU was largely founded by real Nazis, so I would not be surprised.

Any evidence of gas used in the NSDAP holocaust? There is plenty of evidence of shootings and hangings by the German government, but what is your source for the gassing. Is it Stalin perhaps?
Totaliarism, nationalism, providing the population a minority religious group to foster both fear and to exhibit social empowerment to a ruling class or party.... Seems like it is right out of the Nazi playbook. Hitler would be proud and Lincoln would weep. Land of the free and home of the brave? Scary. But history is replete with oppression. Social elitism never changes.
