Mahathir became the hero again in the history of Malaysia
Evidence of how deeply a leader can take place in the heart of the people is that Malaysia's general election. The results of Malaysian parliamentary elections were announced on Wednesday 9th May. The 92-year-old former Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir, is going to be the prime minister once again, winning the election, outgoing Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak was the prime ministerial candidate of the ruling Barisan Nasional (National Front). On the other side, the Prime Ministerial candidate of the opposition alliance (Pakatan Harapan (Alliance of Hope), former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohammed
The number of seats in the Malaysian parliament is 222. Opposition alliance Pakatan Harapan said they needed 112 seats to form the government. Prior to this, the alliance won more popular votes in the 2013 general election. Now Mahathir's popularity has got the majority of the parliament seats.
Once upon a time, his opponent Anwar Ibrahim was jailed, and again became one of his teammates, winning Mahathir's election, a rare history of political affairs. This incident undoubtedly enhances the beauty of tolerance, tolerance and democracy in politics.
