RE: An emotional guide to the midterm elections

in #politics5 years ago (edited)

The last federal election, up here in the Confederation of Canuckistan, was sworn to be my last; focusing only on provincial and municipal elections going forward.

Although the Confederation of Canuckistan uses a multi party parlamentary system of governance, it has been my feeling that on the federal level you are still being sold pepsi vs cola in the form of suit number one, suit number 2 or suit number 3 (women's pants suits included).

My feeling is that true political power will eminate more and more from the city states which are emerging.

Decentralization of central authority seems a sensible expectation in this age in which we live. Supporting central authority and voting for your alledged representative will only elongate the decentralizing process in my opinion.

What we should be lobbying for is that 'None of the above' be made an option on every ballot. 😎
