International Day of the Disappeared - 30 August - Remember Sri Lankan Tamils
August 30 is the International Day of the Disappeared. Amnesty International has reported that "over the past several decades, Sri Lanka has experienced tens of thousands of enforced disappearances, most of which remain unresolved. Most of those responsible for these enforced disappearances have never been held accountable."
