RE: HOW JOBS DESTROYED WORK (PART TWO) by EXTROPIA DaSILVA THE TRUE DEFINITION OF ‘WORK’

in #politics8 years ago (edited)

I think there are in general two ways how people perceive money.

  • Some people don't much enjoy their jobs and they work for the money and benefits. Those people then tend to spend a lot of money on indulging themselves and on giving the meaning to their lives (by travelling, having great houses, families).
  • Then there is the second group of people who work from the inner need, those people then naturally care less about the salary and more about the result and meaning of their work.

I think that both groups are needed - the people in the first group are often performing jobs which are needed for the run of the system (society) and cannot be yet replaced by some algorithms/robots. And the people in the second group are often the people that push our development, technologies, in general our lives forward.

I know that the post describes a bit different issue, this is just what I was thinking with regards to the money issue.
