I read somewhere the average existence of a type of government was between 225 and 275 years, we're currently around 240 years with our republic. There are those that believe the Constitution is antiquated and needs to be abandoned and it seems they have chosen socialism as the more advanced form of government. In their urge to be more "fair" they are racing toward a form of government that has proven to be full of abuse and counterproductive to the point of failure in every instance.
