When someone advocates for censorship against their enemies what is often most misunderstood is that what they are doing in reality is advocating for the usurpation of their own speech rights!
So, in review stop being little, tender, sensitive snowflakes, and crying when someone says something that hurts your tender feels!
That which Government takes away from your enemy today, is also that which Government most assuredly will take away from you tomorrow!
Folks that censor, or agree that censorship is good (against those they disagree with) have no understanding of history.
Fortunately, I am firmly convinced that the censorship window is closing - for good. The blockchain makes data immutable, as long as it is decentralized, and remains publicly auditable. We need better tools to use this technology to end censorship for good, but I am confident those tools are coming. Technology is not a double-edged sword. It is an infinite-edged sword. It inevitably disperses to the general public, and has ever since pointy stick and chipped rocks were invented.
Censorship before the internet was trivial. It's much more difficult to censor folks on the internet than in print, and now we have decentralized blockchains. Consider how being able to post cop watch videos on the blockchain in real time would put brakes on police brutality if enough people did it. Then think of ways to make phones be able to do so easily, and that every cop would have to expect everything they did on their job would be public knowledge, and there would be no way to censor it.
