With a vote of 15,191,847 President Muhammadu Buhari Nigeria's incumbent President of the All Progressive Congress defeated his major rival Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party who scored 11,262,978.
A very disappointing result for most Nigerians of the Southern extraction who voted mostly for Alhaji Atiku.
